Core Theological Distinctives
At Kingdom Church, everything flows from who Jesus is, His active rule & reign, and how His Spirit is moving today. These three convictions, High Christology, Kingdom Theology, and Charismatic Renewal shape our worship, guide our teaching, and fuel our mission. They are the lens through which we see the world, the foundation of our community life, and the calling we joyfully live out together.
High Christology
We proclaim Jesus as the eternal Son of God, crucified, risen, and reigning, whose life, death, resurrection, and ascension are the center of all we believe and do. In Jesus of Nazareth the fullness of God dwells bodily. He is the image of the invisible God, the exact imprint of God’s nature. He is the Christ, the fulfillment of prophecies, the One that the scriptures were concerning. He is the One by whom all things were created and are held together. Every gathering, teaching, and act of ministry begins and ends with the supremacy and beauty of Christ.
Kingdom Theology
The Kingdom of God is the rule and reign of God with Jesus crowned as King. It was foretold by the Old Testament prophets, inaugurated through Jesus, and awaits its full consummation at His return. God’s Kingdom is one of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is a Kingdom of power, advancing like leaven in the dough and seed in the soil, and is established among His people through the indwelling Spirit. As citizens of this Kingdom, we live in the tension of the “already and not yet,” joining His mission to see His will done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Charismatic Renewal
We joyfully welcome and honor the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that after His glorification, believers would experience the Spirit flowing from within them like rivers of living water. The Holy Spirit regenerates and adopts us as children of God and also empowers us for ministry, releasing His spiritual gifts of grace in our lives. These gifts equip the Church for its upbuilding and bear witness to Christ for the transformation of the world. Love and servanthood are the posture in which these gifts operate, ensuring that every display of power reflects the character of Jesus. In all our worship and ministry, we make room for the Spirit to move as He wills.
